suckers

As we opened our gifts from each other on Christmas -- someone said "it's like every commercial on tv" And then it dawned on me -- they are totally right. And when I thought about it more - I realized we actually have quite a few things from "As Seen on TV"
This is what I have come up with so far............

From just this Christmas Gwen got

1. Bendaroos --- these actually are pretty fun for the kids. They are basically just little wax sticks -- but it keeps the girls entertained forever. THUMBS UP

2. Snuggie -- I got one a couple months ago and I love it. Gwennie got a pink kids size one. Mine was from Costco and was a "deluxe" one -- and it really is nicer - the fabric is much softer. But I love mine and Gwen loves hers :) THUMBS UP

in the past, this is what we have acquired.......

3. ShamWOW -- at first we were not sold on these. We even referred to them as ScamWow. But now that they are broken in more -- I do like them. THUMBS up (not in caps because wasn't blown away from the beginning)

4. Magic Bullet -- we originally bought this because it claims it can grind wheat -- and since I have a ton in food storage - I thought it might be a good idea to have something to grind it up. We haven't actually ever tried it on that -- BUT we do make a whole lot of smoothies and milkshakes. And we love it!! THUMBS UP!!

5. Turbo Cooker -- this is a big frying pan thing that we were given for a Christmas gift from Sam's dad a few years back. It's a good pan -- but I have never used it in all of the ways it claims to work. But it is a good pan..........so THUMBS up :)

6. Pasta Maker -- when Sam was on his mission -- I thought this would be a great idea. Sam loves pasta so I thought I could get this pasta maker and make him homemade pasta. Turns out - I suck at making pasta and the Pasta Maker was no help at all. THUMBS DOWN!

7, P90X -- this one we did not technically buy. My friend Lisa did and we now somehow have it burned on our computer.......... Anyways -- I have done it twice - but have not made it all the way thru the 12 weeks either time. The first time I did it with Lisa. We made it almost 10 weeks------SO close. But then I found out I was pregnant and had already had a miscarriage earlier in the year -- so I called it quits just to play it safe.
The next time -- Sam and I did it. We lasted for about 7 weeks. I really love the work out -- it really does give good results. The hardest thing is the time commitment. It is 6 days a week and each workout is 1.5 hrs.
If I ever actually finish this - it would get a THUMBS UP.

COMING SOON (whenever we have money) this is on Sam's wish list........

* The Dual Saw
* The Works GT

as for me..... I have been watching a lot of home shopping shows - since we lost our cable....... and what gets me every time is all the creams for hydrating skin, look younger, make your skin glow, etc..... but what girl doesn't want to glow?!?

I was going to ask you if you liked your magic bullet. I remember when you purchased it! Been kickin' that around myself.

And I call it the P3X. Cuz, that's how many days made it.

Tony is disgusted with me... as am I.

Well thanks for the reviews of all the products. Next time I am thinking about buying one of them I will check your blog first :)

Also, I was telling Scott last night that since you and Sam are Wii-finatics that if you have Mario Kart and can battle online, then maybe we should do a Ward-Coffin competition one of these nights! I would have to do lots of practicing first so I am not always in last place!

I really didn't know people really bought that stuff! It's so good to have a real person critique them, though. What happened to your cable?

See you in March?! :)

ahahahahah I'm SO glad you differentiated between your technical rating with thumbs ;) whenever people capitalize words I imagine them yelling them. i love to think of you yelling, "THUMBS UP!!!!" verses "THUMBS up...." as your voice slowly trails to silence...
