spring break

This is our second year going to Florence, OR for our spring break.  We go there because it is also Sam and Tim's spring break from OSU so it is a good time for them to book jobs for NHance since it is 2 hours from our house.  So they work all week as me and Jess and the kids play. OR stay in the house since most of the time it is raining.  At nights we get to hang out with the boys and go to fun places for dinner.  The few times it wasn't raining we took the kids to the beach -- even though it was cold -- it is still fun.  The kids can play in the sand forever.

The house we stayed in was on a lake -- it is actually our friend Lisa's aunt's house.  So thanks to Lisa we got to stay there all week for free.  Since it was on a lake there were plenty of salamanders for the kids to play with.  Sam even caught one on his hook while fishing (gross). Salamanders always make the kids happy.

We had our friends Alyssa and Bella over to play the other day.  While they were here the girls decided they wanted make overs and a fashion shoot.  So we did.  They chose what colors they wanted for their makeup and then they started striking poses. The positions they chose were interesting :)  After the photo shoot was over I turned on some music and they all danced their hearts out -- and tried to sing along.  Fun friends!!

my memory cards are always full of little treasures.  one of gwen's favorite things is to find the camera and go crazy.  sometimes there is literally dozens of pictures on the card from her - and always very random.

booooooooo!!!!

So YET again I am disappointed.  Another year of submitting my babies picture into Regis and Kelly and another year of rejection. They revealed the top 10 this morning - and sadly Jackson wasn't one of them. I don't care if there was 300,000 entries -- they  suck.  I was really hoping it was the year for the white, blue eyed, bald baby.  But no.  I can say that I am happy knowing for myself that he is cute -- but that doesn't get me $150,000 or a year of free baby food.  It is about time these kids start earning their keep around here

happy birthday Dr. Seuss

Gwen made this Cat in the Hat hat at preschool on Tues in honor of Dr. Seuss's birthday. She now has been wearing in everywhere.  The pictures are from when I had each of the kids take a turn trying it on while we ate lunch.  Jackson really enjoyed it.
