Our good friends - Joel and Lisa -- finally had a little baby of their very own. They have been great to our kids over the years and now have a very lucky little boy that they will be great parents to. We are so excited for them and so happy he is here. The girls LOVE to hold him and keep asking to go and see him more -- we may have already over done our visiting quota. Anyways -- welcome baby Pete -- we already love you!!!

the 4th
The day started out great -- lots of fun. The only draw back was the heat. We went to Harrisburg this year after hearing from a friend that it was a fun place to go. We missed the parade but we still were able to go do a bunch of free fun stuff with the kids. Face painting, balloon animals, tattoos, bounce house and obstacle course. There was even a skate boarding competition at the skate park that we went and watched. Since it was so hot -- we also ended up wading in the river to cool down. Wish we brought our suits. Anyways, we had a lot of fun. The problem was -- I guess it was a little too hot out for me with out drinking enough water. I ended up getting a HUGE headache OR what some might call heat exhaustion. It was so bad that I was almost throwing up from it and on the way home my legs were involuntarily shaking. I missed watching the fireworks because the bright lights and loud noises weren't helping. So Jackson and I waited in the car -- since he wasn't that big of a fan himself. But over all it was a fun day -- the kids had a blast!!
I know this is blurry -- but Jackson looked so cute............

welcome KELLY!!
fathers day and coast......
so there was a funny story that came out of our father's day weekend. Sam had to work over on the coast so over the weekend we went over and spent it with him. While we were there we went to the Florence Ward and went to church. Well at the end of church a girl came up to us and asked us if we had plans for dinner. We were VERY surprised by this -- because we aren't even good at inviting new members to the ward over -- let alone visitors passing thru over. Well we actually didn't really have dinner plans -- so I hesitantly said we were free. Well it ended up being really fun. They were a really fun, cool couple. Florence just has a lot of old people and they saw us -- another young family and jumped on the chance to interact with people their own age. Our kids got along great and played for hours. Dinner was great -- BBQ steaks, salad, potatoes, fruit, etc.. We even had some really good cookies for dessert. Sam was happy because it was a better dinner than he would have got anywhere else on Fathers Day. :)
So Happy Fathers Day to Sam. Who by the way -- is an amazing daddy. He deserves the best for Fathers Day -- his kids adore him and I am so lucky to have him as a partner in crime. :)
