And now I cross my fingers that no one else in this house gets hit with the stomach bug that poor Gwenny got this last week. My poor baby started throwing up last Sunday and wasn't able to keep anything down (not even liquids) for 3 days. Once the third day hit and nothing was staying down, plus I noticed that she had only peed once in the last 24 hours -- I called the doc because I was starting to worry about dehydration. He prescribed her an anti-nausea prescription and it made a huge difference. She is now keeping both her liquids and solids down. Still weak and a little achey today - 5 days later -- but a huge improvement.
I hate seeing my children in so much pain.

Those pills are MIRACLES!
We had to purchase some for Reece last year (at this SAME time... weird) at the tune of $1300.00. Still paying for that...
I'm glad she's feeling better. Having sick kids IS the worst.
Oh I feel your pain all too well....sorry april! (I just was tempted to call you ape... does anyone call you ape? haha that would be funny! i wish i had a funny nickname) anyways, my suggestion is be home-bodies for awhile to give yourself a break from all the rampant disease at this time of season. :)
rachel - you can call me Ape :) Actually most of my family calls me Ape and a lot of my friends. I don't even notice usually if someone calls me it. So go right ahead :)
Hi April! (and Sam too) ;), so sorry about the stomach virus and happy to hear that things are on the mend. I recall those illnesses and know its hard not only on the child, but especially you too. Likely you tried this, but gatorade is something to keep on hand just in case; you may not be able to keep it down, but some of the electrolytes might be restored.
As for Mr Sam and raised beds: it would only take a couple hours for one raised bed and right now HD has 10 foot boards on sale for $5 each! Think how much fun (and educational) for the kids to make seed mats and watch the plants grow... then food to the table.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend and that all is well!
