This year we have started a new tradition in our house. My mom gave the kids a gift that will now become a yearly tradition. It is called "Elf on the Shelf". It is a little elf and a book that explains about the elf. Basically this elf is one of Santa's elves and he is here to watch the kids everyday to see if they go on the naughty or nice list. Every night the elf magically flies back to the North Pole to report to Santa. And every morning he is back and in a new location in the house. The girls are LOVING this. They named him "Elfie Junior" (Gwen wanted "Elfie" and Addie wanted "Junior" - so that was the compromise). Every morning they wake up and race out of their room to try to find where Elfie Junior is. They are so happy when they find him and are amazed every single time. It is very cute. Here are a few of the places he has shown up so far..................................

oh so cute, where do I get one? I love that idea!!
That is the hot ticket item this year.
I'm sad that my kids are past it-
:-( I think that elf would have worked WONDERS!
I think you can get it at Barnes & Noble or Amazon. I'll ask my mom where she got it and let you know if it was some place else too.
What a fun idea!
I heard about that cute little elf last year and thought I should pick one up after the season for this year... needless to say I forgot and it didn't happen. I love the idea! I'm going to try to nab one after Christmas for next year :)
I love this idea-Grandma Shirley, you are the best!! That elf is so funny too-he is so serious! I have got to try this, Trennan would love it!
SICK!!! Your mother is mean. We make fun of that elf at Barnes and Noble. Could they make that thing more creepy looking?? The song is even creepier-hahaha.
